Upcoming Events
Sun Rise Camp for Children of Incarcerated Parents is a new initiative designed to foster a positive and supportive atmosphere. The primary goal of the camp is to encourage healthy communication among children who have parents currently incarcerated. International storyteller, Diana Ferlatte will be our guest artist. Various activities such as visual art, storytelling, music, interactive drumming, hiking, games and writing workshops and more. All expenses covered.

African American women and girls (age 12+) of the African Diaspora, are personally invited to have a seat at the table and join the conversation facilitated by Gail Jackson. This circle is for Black women and girls of Alaska to create community, be seen, heard and supported. What is at the forefront in our lives, defining what does support and community look like for us, discussions, topics and so much more. No virtual or childcare available at this time.
Join Gail Jackson, Global Drum Circle Facilitator Trainer and Remo Endorsed Facilitator, as she facilitates the Social Justice Drumming Circle, “Say their Name.” Join in the reading of names of individuals that have been killed by police brutality, small groups and vigilantes. We will have a moment of silence, then drum and celebrate the individuals that are no longer with us. We’ll conclude with community drumming together because we are the key, first to healing ourselves as we move to healing our community. Drums, percussion instruments, and chairs are provided or bring your own from 1pm-4:30pm,
